U14 Girls

The U14 girls welcomed Abbeyfeale to Ashford this week. Unfortunately, the home side were unable to replicate the energy and form that has seen them dominate opponents throughout the season. Abbeyfeale proved clinical and took all three points back to Fealeside. Naoise Cronin scored a late consolation goal for Ashford, with the final score finishing 5–1 in favour of Abbeyfeale.

U13 Boys
The U13 boys hosted Askeaton/Kilcolman knowing that a victory would see them draw level with their opponents in the table. The Saints made a strong start and created several chances in the opening ten minutes, but the visiting goalkeeper was in outstanding form, twice denying goals with excellent saves. Those missed opportunities proved costly, as Askeaton/Kilcolman opened the scoring with a powerful strike into the roof of the net, leaving James with no chance. The visitors added a second shortly afterwards and went on to secure a 4–1 victory. Ruairi McEnery converted a penalty three minutes from the final whistle to provide a consolation goal for the hosts.
