The Reserves travelled to The Paddocks to face Ballingarry Afc B on their new astro-turf surface. The home side, well accustomed to the slick conditions, made a strong start and took an early lead when David O’Hanlon found the net in the 4th minute. Ballingarry continued to apply pressure thereafter, although they were unable to further trouble the scoreboard.

Ita’s enjoyed spells of possession but struggled to create clear-cut chances in the final third.
Half-time: Ballingarry 1–0 St Ita’s

Ita’s introduced changes at the interval, and one of the substitutes made an near immediate impact. Bobby Gore equalised just before the hour mark, bringing renewed belief to the visitors. From that point on, Ita’s increased the intensity and began to create more opportunities. Numerous deliveries were sent in from wide areas, with the two forwards unfortunate not to convert several promising chances.

The decisive moment came deep into stoppage time. Shane Harnett delivered a corner which was only partially cleared, and Odhrán Kelleher reacted quickest, striking decisively from the penalty spot into the roof of the net, leaving the Ballingarry goalkeeper with no chance.

Full-time: Ballingarry B 1–2 St Ita’s Reserves
