Both the U12 Boys and U14 Girls welcomed the same opposition to Ashford on a wet blustery Saturday. I’m pleased to say both Kilcolman Rovers A.F.C teams left empty handed.

The U12 Boys kicked off preceding in a league game knowing a win would put them in a strong position to claim a spot in the shield final.
Both sides had chances to take the lead in an evenly contested first half but drew a blank.
Ht 0-0
Second half the Saints raised their performance and took a 3 goal leads, thanks to a brace from Ruairi McEnery and Harry Cremin. The visitors didn’t give up and pulled back a goal as the game neared conclusion, this was a mere consolation and lads held out comfortably for the win.

U14 Girls took to the field at noon as the rain increased. Unperturbed the girls played excellently and must have been their best performance of the season so far. They raced into a 4-0 half time lead thanks to goals from Naoise Cronin, a brace from Cathy Casey and an unfortunate o.g.
2nd half continued in the same vein with the girls playing very well. A lovely strike from Kayla Clifton being the sole goal of the half.
Ft 5-0
