On the non-competitive side.
The U6’s and U8’s welcomed Glantine F.C. to Ashford this morning. Both teams had great fun and entertained everyone in attendance.
U10 Boys played host to Carrig Celtic. Micheal Curtin and Jamie Dore on target for the saints. The game ended all square with lots of talent showed from both teams.
On the competitive side it was mixed results from the 2 teams who traveled to Holycross to take on Rathkeale Afc.
U12 Girls were first to play, they kept their good run in the league against a good home side making it 2 wins in last 2 games. It was a great performance which keeps the girls in the hunt for the shield Naoise Cronin on target with a brace of goals. FT 2-0 to Ita’s.
U13 Boys in cup action were missing a few regulars due to illness played very well to take a 1-0 lead at half time. Ruairi McEnery on target for the saints. The home side came out strong after the break, and with only 1 subs tired legs started to show allowing rathkeale to score 3 without reply. Lads showed great heart and never gave up.
